Proudmomma412's Journal, 24 March 2018

I have not weighed in since the first weigh in with my new scales. I'm holding off for a little bit because I know I've picked up a little weight. But I'm ok with it because I quit smoking!!😄 I'm not wanting to gain because of this but I'm at a comfortable spot where when i gain, I know I cam lose it again. I started this journey to get healthy. I would never quit smoking because i refused to gain more weight. I'm ready for it now. I feel that I will be successful. I'm determined. I'm along far enough to focus again on my weight. I will weigh myself tomorrow and probably scare the hell out of myself but it's worth it. 😄 💗

Health is always preferable to huge weight loss in my opinion! You are doing a great thing for yourself and the weight loss will follow.

Good for you! My Dad tried over and over to quit but couldn't.

Thank you all. I'm determined to quit. I have to stick around and torment my son😁

Good for you, and thanks for quiting. I smoked 30 years, and have early stages of copd--"one" of the stupided thing I ever did, and paying for it, and I was a heavy smoker too boot. Keep at it lady.

YASS!!! I'm right there with ya! I quit smoking at the beginning of October. I've not even had a slip-up this time. It was hard as hell to keep myself on track, but once I hit a spot that I felt that I could lose weight without stressing over smoking, I hopped on it! That was always one of my biggest "excuses" also. [Too much stress, don't wanna gain weight]. I've cut ALL excuses. They weren't gonna save my life. I'M PROUD OF YOUUUUUUUU! *BIG Hugs!!!*

@adamevegod1- my Mom has copd and i watch her struggle a lot. She has so many health problems and she's only 65. @angel- 8Patty- & Murf - Thank you all. I think loosing weight was easier than quitting cigarettes. But I'm done with them. My 15 yr old son told me he was proud of me. Definitely done!!😄💗

I’m so proud of you! I quit 11 years ago. It was one of the hardest things I’ve done, but it was absolutely worth it. Hang in there and keep reminding yourself that you are definitely worth it. Sending you lots of hugs and prayers.

You should be proud of yourself. Just like a new WOE, this is a new WOL (living). Now you can save up all that money on new clothes...
