So I had had the intention of going to the gym this morning before classes. When my alarm went off @5am, I carefully considered my options & decided another hour of sleep was more important. Today is my 10 hour day on campus & I had to ride 6.6mi round trip. If I had gone I know I would've crashed out as soon as I got home b/c I'm at the point in my college career where I believe sleep is more important than homework (no bueno!). I have a full 13 hour day of exams on Thurs so I can't afford that. So no gym today or Thurs (possibly might try to go at the end of the day if I feel I have the energy for a workout & bike ride home). Depending on the amount of studying & hw I have I may do a workout program that's on On Demand. Right now I'm writing this to keep from falling asleep between classes.

If you're riding your bike to class, a 6.6 mile round trip, hon, that's no slouch on the exercise dept! Paying attention to all of your needs is important, and not sabotaging your educational career is essential. Don't feel bad about not going to the gym. You're still busting my butt! :)

Considering how exhausted I am, I'm not feeling guilty at all for not going to the gym. I may even take a short nap right now before I get on the homework & studying. I can say that working out at the gym has paid off w/ regard to riding my bike. Was much faster even though my thighs were on fire!! So I feel good about that. ; ) I can be intense about working out. About 6-7 yrs ago for a good 5 months I was going to the gym 3-4 days/wk for 3 hrs/day!! I wish I had the time & energy to do that now (and a less crowded college gym)!!
