nativelady's Journal, 09 May 2012

Really need to find time to get to the gym. I'm almost at that less than 100lb to lose stage and can't quite get there. I think my body's adjusted to my eating plan. It's just that so many days lately, when it hurts to walk to the next room, the last thing on my mind is going to work out.

My sis bought a gazelle and I love that thing, love even more that I've lost enough weight to use it, the down side is that she lives almost 40 miles away and with gas prices, getting to her house isn't all that great an option either.

I need to get back into journaling more often too. It's been a while since I've done consistent journals and maybe if I can get myself doing them again, it will motivate me more to go to the gym.

You should start wherever you can with exercise and make it enjoyable, as much as you can. Do you have a bike you could ride that might make it easier to get your exercise in? Or even lifting some small weights or soup cans can give you the push you need. Find what works for you and stick to it. Maybe hit the gazelle occasionally for fun :)

The only bike I can do is the stationary bike, and that is at the gym. With my mobility issues, even walking around the block is risky as well as against doctor's orders. I have a tendency to fall a lot. I am going on a group trip tomorrow though. It will be a lot more walking than I'm supposed to do, but hey, it's exercise. :D Will see if I can move when I get home though. LOL

That's hard...it might be a good idea to save up for a gazelle or stationary bike yourself! I know Walmart has simple stationary bikes for about $100.00
