I actually started reducing my calorie intake 4 weeks ago (Feb 5, 2009) and have lost 11 pounds so far. I was 228 & now I'm 117. I 'm eating about 1500 calories a day. (which I believe is ample for a male of 180 pounds) I avoid pastries, cookies, pasta and limit myself to 1 or 2 slices of whole grain bread per day. I'm eating more fresh fruit and vegetables and need my meat intake to a maximum of 4 ounces per serving.
