EFudd's Journal, 04 October 2017

Well, this sucks. September has been the month from hell. My department at the college at which I teach has been hit by layoffs and a couple of early retirements, and I've been absolutely SWAMPED. Extra large class load, extra committee assignments, extra everything ... including extra aggravation and stress. Lots and lots of late nights and early mornings at the office with nothing to eat but what came out of vending machines (Doritos, Fritos, Cheetos ... I've been eating the "--tos" family of food for the past month. No time to journal, to make decent meals, to even weigh myself. I finally caught a breather ... and I've gained over 7 pounds. I have got to do better this October. I think I can; we've hired a couple of adjuncts with good teaching experience and I've quit two committees. I didn't realize that the most difficult aspect of this journey would be simply making time for myself. ARGH.

Quitting those committees must be a great load off! :-) --- I don't know what your biological gender is, but if it's XX, your metabolism might not be especially well served by methods that work for XYs. Your food diary looks like you follow consistently low calories. Some people have success breaking plateaus by cycling their intake, e.g. eating maintenance RDI a few days/week. Maybe worth considering?
