I had worked hard getting the weight off then I got sick with Kidney failure, thinking I had the flu I did not think much about it. But the weight packed back on from not being able to do the things I loved to do. Three years later and a minimal weight loss of about 30 pounds I have decided that I want to get a transplant, they won't do the surgery until I am at 250 or less. The doctor suggested I do the lapband surgery. I am not a huge fan, so the no way for me. It is not anything more than another surgery and I do not want any more than I really need. I have some rather strict dietary requirements, ei: liquid restrictions, phospherus requirements and protein needs. I am know what to do to lose the weight so this is my journey to weight loss without surgery.
