ambtreh's Journal, 07 March 2012

Yesterday was a good day. I resisted the temptation of ordering in and had a meal replacement thingy because I was too exhausted to cook. Unlike the day before, I did not eat junk. I feel so virtuous now.

I feel so proud that I exercised yesterday even though I was exhausted. I also managed to sleep for 7 hrs and am aiming for at least 8 hours today. A slight miss but overall things seem to be looking up.

The thing that I am struggling with is to enter the correct potions. Eyeballing things on my plate doesn't help estimate the grams or milliliters they are. And the fact that foods that I eat regularly aren't here doesn't help things. But I suppose these are beginner's pangs and I will soon be able to overcome them.

I generally take calorie and serving size info from all ingredients and aim for a half cup carb with 2 oz lean protein for each meal. If I can't find what I'm eating in the food database I just add the ingredients separately in my journal, breaking them up into how much would be in a serving size. Small meals always help keep the metabolism going strong. Maybe revisiting serving size information would help. Good luck~
