I am pretty sure you will see results much quicker! Pain decreasing is considered a good result also :)

I agree, you should see rapid results, then a slowdown. That's when the hang on to it happens. If you've got a lot to lose it's worth the change of life. You'll be healthy and get steady losses.

They say “It takes 4 weeks for you to notice your body changing, 8 weeks for your friends to notice, and 12 weeks for the rest of the world to notice. Give it 12 weeks. Don’t QUIT!”
But low carb is a little different, you should get the biggest drop the first 2 weeks and then slow down to a slower weight loss, the first 2 weeks are usually water weight loss.

Oh My No you will see results very soon, mostly on the scale!! It may take a month for you to totally adjust to the Keto program and you may feel off during that time, but you will see a steady weight drop if you stick to it. Then the ever dreaded PLATEAU where it all surges to a seeming stand still ...but DON'T GIVE UP! There is a ton of great stuff you can read and watch on you tube about this transition. It's been amazing to me! I AM LOVING IT!

Thanks all so much! the hardest thing for me will be giving up sugar but I can cry into copious amounts of cheese to console myself :) ive only been on it 4 days and already when i got a hug today my bestie said "are you on a diet or something? i think you've lost weight..." I am finding that high fat content fills me up so much faster so im not snacking between meals so maybe thats helping too :)
