I unintentionally blew it today. Had to drive two hours to get to a funeral today. Ate very well at home before the event because I knew we would be eating out. After a long day, we went to supper with friends, as expected. Wound up at O'Charley's. Tried to order well off the menu and actually did pretty good. What I did not realize was that O'Charley's has a "free pie" Wednesday! Who can pass up a free piece of pie??? (Well, if I had known then what I know now, it would have been much easier.) Out of six pies, I carefully chose apple because it would be the best, right? UGH-UGH! 630 calories in that innocent-looking pie! It wasn't that big. It wasn't THAT good. A meal's worth of calories in one piece of pie. A day's worth of calories in one meal! And tomorrow we have to repeat it over again. We will be making another 2 hour, one-way trip to attend my step son's funeral. Expecting another long day. Tomorrow, I hope to have a better food day. Definitely one without any pie!
