In about 4 days I gained 7lbs. This is with hiking and long walks ranging from 10,000 steps to 30,000 steps or from 7-20km. I have been eating very healthy and a ton of fresh veggies. Usually once a day I have a small ice creams at the weather in Japan is in the mid 30's and in the high 40's with humidity. The sweets are usually about 300 cal so I am usually not eating more than 2000 cal/day. I have been under a great deal of stress of late which is work related and I know this can cause weight gain. I have no idea why the extremely rapid weight loss as I am near my high when I started tracking again. Even when I was binging and not exercising like now I did not gain at this rate. No idea what is happening. I hope the weight gain does not continue with my healthy eating, periods of IF and exercise. Maybe it is just a phase.

Google "why the scale lies" for insight in to water weight fluctuations. If you have been exercising more than your body is used to, you may be retaining fluid in your muscles. It helps them heal. Cherries or cherry juice can help. I went on a long bike ride and was up 4 pounds the next day. My muscles were sore. When I painted my kitchen and dining room the scale went up too. My muscles hurt so bad. It's temporary and will go away.
