I made the executive decision to officially go on SBD again! For the past month, I've been doing LA Weight Loss for my husband's sake, but I'm over it. They don't fall in line with SBD, and I've discovered that I'm a lot more convicted about South Beach than I thought I was. The nutrition principles are much more sound and make much more sense to me than LA. LA focuses on some fairly petty things like "no more than 3 artificial sweetener packets per day", or "a quarter teaspoon of Morton's lite salt per day" and other such nonsense. But then they call for things like white flour and sugar in their recipes. I'm sure it's great for some people who need the structure (counting EVERYTHING) and accountability (weighing in 2-3 times a week), but it's not for me. And to be frank, I have a hard time listening to weight loss advice from girls who are fatter than I am. I feel like I've been let out of a cage! I'm still going to help Jeremy, and he's still doing great on LA. I'm just glad to have my SB back. I look for that blue line to really start dropping again. :-)

LOL, that's really funny. Actually, I interviewed to be a counselor there before I gained weight, and I was a little concerned about the fact that they tend to have "heavier" people working there. It's ok to be heavy especially when you're working on it...but it's not exactly good for morale in a place like that. Glad to have you back! Will you be starting phase 1 over again?
