Hi Everyone,
Thanks for the words of encouragement from my last post. It helped me during the weekend - I kept hearing "just remember to keep losing weight". I even said it to my sister. I was a little upset because my knees are messed up and my exercising is not very good.

But I looked up a bunch of exercises I can do that don't require knee motion. I found some standing up crunches and seat exercises. I know that I need to strengthen my core but I am too heavy to do standard crunches and getting on the floor is not an option so those standing ab exercises are great!

I would like to recommend the book "Dr. Atkin's Vita-Nutrient Solution". I think it's a good book that explains how to use vitamins for certain ailments such as Obesity, Diabetes, High Blood pressure, etc. He recommends vitamins and explains their purpose and recommends a dosage. But like all supplements you have to make sure they don't interfere with your current meds prescribed by a doctor. I take chromium picolinate and glutamine for sugar cravings. When I take this I need less insulin, but every person may have a different experience.

I have that Atkins book - it is a great resource though last I checked it was out of print. I got mine through a used book source years ago. Good for you on finding exercises you can do, and doing them. I have heard of a program "sit and be fit" - maybe there's a video? Getting up and down from the floor is difficult for many but I bet you can do some exercises lying in bed. Maybe you have a physical therapist you can consult for advice? Exercise is not required to lose weight but better fitness will help you stick to a program and feel better in general.

Hi Trackin64 thanks for your comment! I believe I got mine at a used book store as well but you can still buy it on Kindle!
