ok - i'm back on it. it's so easy sometimes to give up! i'm certainly glad i didn't have this attitude when i quit smoking! i viewed that addiction like an alcoholic however, i can never again have a cigarette. some people can have a couple one day, not again for months. not me, i didn't smoke that much (6 -8 a day) BUT i LIKED to smoke. i still DREAM about smoking.............it's been almost 6 months and i still CRAVE smoking......(anybody who told you that craving goes away in about 72 hours is crazy!) however, it is true that if you hold off 3 - 5 minutes..........the craving is gone again. at least, they are coming less and less....now only about every other or third day.....

now for the damn food.........i like fat....i like butter.......i like sauces, gravies, dressings.............dips.........sour cream....cream cheese......ok you get the picture. so Atkins isn't necessarily the diet for me. i don't have a problem with the carbs.....not my "drug lol" of choice..........that would be my fat food group :D....so anyway..........i'm trying to keep a balanced diets of 50 gms or less of fat.........100 grams or more of protein....20 grams of fiber and 100 grams or less of carbs.........when i stick to this...NO PROBLEM.....my problem is in the evenings.....sigh.......when i have to feed my husband and his 5% body fat or so a meal so he doesnt lose any weight. at least he is the best at being encouraging AND the fact that he admits that he truly can't understand totally what it is like.....but he can kinda as he's needing to quit smoking after a 35 year habit that started when he was about 15! i may have to move out when that happens! wow..........anyway........just rambling here. i think writing sometimes helps.........

I understand about loving food. I love all kinds of food! I just started reminding myself that some of the food that I love doesn't love me back. I try to stay with the food that does. I'm glad you got back on the wagon and switched gears to something you may be able to maintain.
