Okay, I figured it out! Not quitting.
I am a diabetic, type 2, plus I have torn cartiledge in both knees. I am longing to go back to exercizing at the gym, but with my knees hurting all the time, I am afraid of injuring them worse if I try. I am also trying to do the 8-week diet they talked about on Dr. Oz, Dr. Michael Mosely wrote it; it's supposed to help diabetics lose enough weight in 8 weeks to reverse or cure their diabetes. So I am aiming for 800 calories per day, considerably less than they are recommending on this site.

Diet Calendar Entry for 29 April 2016:
780 kcal Fat: 23.19g | Prot: 48.65g | Carb: 94.31g.   Breakfast: Hush Puppy, Fried Battered Cod. Lunch: Original Cocktail Sauce, Light Sweet & Spicy French Dressing, Steamed or Boiled Shrimp, Lettuce Salad with Assorted Vegetables. Dinner: No Calorie Sweetener Packets, Milk (Nonfat), Oatmeal. more...

800 is too low. How much do you WANT to weight? that's all you need to know. Take that number and multiply it times 10. then eat that per day. And DONT spread it out over 6 meals either. 2 good meals is all you need. Let the rest of the time be rest. The weight will come off. IF you stick to your Calories. Its all about you and how honest you are with YOURSELF. Because the girth of your behind does not effect any of us either way. But LOSING you would. To thine own self be true.

@PM, you want to weigh 12 pounds? I think KTMM was saying if you want to be 120 pounds, set your calories for the day to 120 * 10 = 1,200 calories.

I mean exactly that. 1000 calories +/- 200 calories is what your body needs to maintain 100 pounds of body. With little to no exercise. If you are actively exercising, I would INCREASE intake by about 200. But if you cant exercise, you don't need to. If you are referring to the diabetic diet, We call it a "Ketogenic" Diet, Or simply LCHF. For Low Carb, High Fat." Which is the same diet I myself eat. I eat about 2000 calories a day. And Im shooting for 200 pounds weight. Doing EXACTLY what I told you has brought my blood sugar down to 81 on the HIGH end. It usually averages about 76 though. I just don't eat enough carbs for my blood glucose to go up. Less that 20 TOTAL grams of carbs per day most days. I had 21 today because I ate an extra lemon for the vitamin C today.
