I looove cottage cheese and pineapple! I’ve never tried it with cinnamon. Apples and walnuts are really good in cottage cheese too!

That's a great addition to the kitchen I loved 😍 mine until it died and I had to get rid of it because of safety concerns. Granted it was just a cheap add-on that I got is a plus up gift when I was buying Christmas gifts a couple years ago. Be very careful they cut flesh just as well as they cut veggies 😳. Ironically the only times I've ever cut myself though is when Ryan is convinced me to use the guard not when I used it freehand as I usually would; apparently I get overconfident and too quick if I use the guard and I dropped my palm down too low. Granted once again it was a cheap version and not a nice one so the guard was very questionable at best. Still absolutely loved the device definitely recommend them for the kitchen makes those thin cuts for potatoes, carrots, and other thin sliced veggies for stir fries so much easier to get consistent. I really hope you enjoy your new device.

Second the danger of the mandolines. They have safety gloves you can wear in the kitchen and always use that guard piece that holds whatever you’re cutting. Washing it is probably the most dangerous portion of the job as you tend to relax. Safety in place, it’s a great tool.

Thanks everyone! I’ve never used one before, so I’ll be sure to try & be safe! I’m a little nervous 😬

Don’t be nervous, just always respect the blade.

I tried it out today. Man, the blade is super sharp! Need to read the manual on how to cut thinner slices! Did not get cut though, so that’s good! Lol

With my mandolin it was all about what blade attachment you were using at the time that dictated about what sliced thinness you got that and the force you put down on the vegetable. I hope you have fun playing with your new toy though I know I really enjoyed mine I'll have to get a new one sometime soon it really made vegetable cutting so much easier.
