Had an amazing vacation with family and friends, so nice to reconnect with so many people all in one place. Went for a run each morning and kayaked several hours most days during the week. (I know I posted about doing band workouts on the trip but that was before I saw the kayaks that came with the vacation rental, which had river access… so plans changed). When I arrived there the first thing I did was buy a bunch of fruits and veggies for snacking and healthy breakfast foods, and made sure to eat those during the day before the big family meal at the end of the day. Had a few drinks but with all the time I was spending in the sun the idea of alcohol felt really unappealing. Ended up maintaining or losing slightly by the end of the week. Not really ready to be home or get back to routines, but that’s how you know it was a good trip.
