Yearofhealth2023, thanks for the suggestion on Egg Whites to cut Cholesterol. Instead of having a 2-egg omelet this morning (using two whole eggs), I made a 3-egg omelet using one whole egg and two egg whites. Cholesterol for the 2-egg would have been 424, but with 3-egg it was only 212. Protein for 2-egg would be 12.58. The 3-egg was even higher at 13.48 (which surprised me). Calories for 2-egg would be 148. The 3-egg was only 108. So, by making the substitution of 2 whites for 1 whole egg, I cut 40 Calories and 212g Cholesterol, and I added almost a gram of Protein! Great trade off and it was more filling, but didn’t have the bland flavor I was expecting from more whites. (I also added 2 ounces of lean ham cubes and an ounce of shredded cheddar cheese.)

Yay!!!! Win win. You may get used to all egg white omelettes down the road. Then you really cut cholesterol. When i make egg whites i have 4 or 5. Very filling, low cal good protein. Im glad i was able to give back in a small way to you. Ive had so many great ideas from fellow fatsecret folks💕. You getting excited or nervous for upcoming surgery? Im having some trepidation. Anesthesia always scares me and knowing the pain to come. One of the pain meds they want to give me i cannot take so scary.

Yearofhealth2023, I'm definitely excited about the surgery - I'll come out of it with a brand spanking new knee! I'm not fearful or anxious in any way, PTL! I'm sure it is the prayers of my church family. I can understand the fear of anesthesia and upcoming pain, though. I can't recall ever hearing what kind of surgery you are having, maybe I missed a post. If you don't want to share here, you can PM me, or just ignore this question. Whether I know what kind of surgery it is, or not, I can still pray for it to go well for you! May God orchestrate your life in such a way that you get the BEST anesthesiologist the hospital has to offer, that He would guide the surgeon's hands as he performs the surgery, may you have great nurses who are attentive, personable, understanding and efficient, and may your pain be controlled efficiently with the type of meds you CAN take. May you have peace and confidence that everything will go perfectly, and may you ha3e a speedy and complete recovery!

Debbie THANK YOU for the 🤲 prayer. I had a full hip replacement last summer which allowed me to move again and the resulting weight loss (89 pounds as of today from my high in 1/22) left me with an awful lot of skin laxity. I posted a picture a few months. Ago of my arms. So having skin removal surgery on my arms (brachiaplasty) and tummy tuck. Ive been very open about it on this forum it’s totally fine. Not nearly as important as getting new knees or hips more for my vanity. Ive refused to grow up i guess 😂
