You can use elastic bands and perform routines in your home in addiction to your P90x program.

I have a pull up bar and different sized weights. I'm just being neurotic I guess. Lol.

Yeah I think I will keep on my own too. I'm seeing results and I'm figuring if I am seeing results then I should be okay. One day at a time. Thanks!

I work out at home, too. I don't like to have to travel to go work out. I've made a lot of muscle gains from weights at home.

Working out helps, but it's not absolutely necessary. Having a solid diet and nutrition plan will have a more significant impact.
Best of luck on reaching your goals!

I think what your doing is great. Any kind of resistance will build up muscle and swimming is one of the best for both strength, power, muscle gain and all this with minimal resistance to the body. I agree with Magic Mitch that having a solid nutrition plan is essential and working out only enhances this. I found this out when doing a ton of work outs and quite strenuous while at the same time going on a sweet binge. The end result was quite a bit of weigh gain so I learned once again that nutrition/healthy eating is more important than working out.

Going to the gym is absolutely NOT necessary. Want muscle definition? Some squats and planks at home for 10 mins a day and you'll get the definition.
Exercise alone is seldom effective for weight loss, but is the most important tool to keep weight off.

Great! Thanks for all the input. It's been helpful for sure. I will try the planks! I've been eating clean, so I am pretty proud of myself where that's concerned. I drink tons of water but I really don't think I eat enough. I need to check into that.

After a point the body-weight stuff wont be a challenge and your body wont have a need to adapt. Thats where being able to add resistances comes in.

as long as you do some excersise the gym helps....

I'm sure you could get definition without the gym...but, I can testify that after getting bit by the gym-bug, I'm lost on days that should be gym days, but I'm unable to make it.

in my opinion it directly depends on you so i don't think it be necessary

I also dislike gyms. I'd much rather work exercise into my daily routine or do some body-weight moves like squats and push-ups in my own home. I think whatever works for you is what's best!

Swimming is some of the best cardio exercise there is. It is also a workout but if you want to get noticeable definition then you need to add some resistance exercise to your daily routine.
Good Luck
