So my period is on its way. I can tell because I've lost most of my appetite and don't feel much like eating, as well as getting some minor cramping.

I think I'll allow myself a high-calorie meal tonight to try to make up for the severe deficit I've had from the past few days due to the side effects.

how lucky are u to lose apetite on/before your period!!! mine is on the way and i just get this unstoppable hunger all day and all sorts of cravings oh dear....wish i was in your shoes :) good luck
