Tommorrow's my weekly weigh-in. I hope I've dropped a couple of pounds, but I'd be happy with one. At one a week, it'll take less than a year to reach my goal of 125. I went to a farewell party last night, some very special people are leaving our neighborhood and it's going to be like a light went out when they're gone. You know the kind: always friendly, full of energy, door always open - and I mean to everyone! - and very good friends. He was the pastor of the church on the corner that we attended for several years. I was his secretary for a while. He is a caring, very open, and very out-going guy. She is a bubbly, strong, inspiring woman who always has time to listen. And a great interior decorator, to boot! Their kids are rambunctious, fun, and sweet, and my daughter will miss them. The whole neighborhood is a friendlier place just because they live here, and they set such a wonderful example for us of neighborliness and friendliness. I hate that they're going. I wanted to "be like her", even though I'm, like, twenty years older than she is, LOL ! Now my role-model will be gone. Sigh.
