Work has been really busy for me. By the time I get home I am brain fried!! LOL!! At least the days pass quickly that way. I am finding that many of my pants are too loose now. That is strange. I am accustomed to putting on things that are too tight, not too loose!! I guess my body is still changing, even though the pounds have slowed. Although yesterday and today showed declines on the scale, which I also don't understand since I've been eating more. Maybe I will make 175. My husband is nervous about me continuing to lose. He has a friend who has lost too much ... he says he looks like a "little old man" now. I still believe my body will find a set point and settle there. I will just continue to do what I've been doing. I have a short trip in my future for a wedding, so I'm sure I'll eat wedding cake and other things I may not typically eat. I don't ever remember seeing 182 on the scale. I probably did weigh that at some point, but I sure don't remember when. Looks like I might need to shop for a couple of pair of pants. Darn!!!

I suppose I better finish getting ready for work. And check those lottery tickets to see if I can begin early retirement!! LOL!! I hope everyone has a good day ... later!!

I wouldn't buy more than two pairs of pants until you reach the weight you really want to be at or you will end up not being able to wear any of it. I can relate to the "brain fried" part only too well. I've heard it said that using one's head consumes a lot of energy but I've never been able to confirm if that translates into calories. ;-)

The chart shows that you are getting your old groove back, keep it up. Don't listen to the too skinny part until you are where you want to be. You can tighten things up once you get there.

Darn! Yeah right. :-) You go shopping for some new pants that look amazing from the rear, be sure to get someones opinion that you really trust, not the saleswoman, and never ask your husband, they do not want your rear looking too good. LOL Men get a bit nervous sometimes when their wives or girlfriends lose weight, and women do too when their men lose weight, it is called insecurity, so don't worry too much about what he said. Just get to a weight "and that may be where you are now" where YOU feel good and comfortable. That is all that matters in the end. YOU are doing so good, I am so proud of you Carol. :-)

Thanks Info & Mo ... great support and good advice!! I always get carried away in the clothes category. In actuality I could probably still wear what I have ... it just feels weird to have them bagging on me. A very strange and unfamiliar thing!!

But why wear something that is bagging on you. Just think how good it will feel to get a couple pair of pants that FIT you. Maybe one pair of pants and one pair of jeans. It does wonders for the self esteem and the desire to continue to eat healthy. It is one of the perks for self disipline. :-)

Nice work, madaboutmoose! To allay your husband's fears you might let him know what weight you're shooting for. He may feel better after knowing that. In regards to the pants, I have a trick that worked for me: I went into the back of the closet and pulled down older clothing to see if it fit again. The stuff that did I wore, the stuff that was too small I put back. This has kept me from needing to buy a new wardrobe. In the meantime, I'm saving money for when I hit my goal weight. Keep up the good work!

I love clothes shopping. It is always surprising. I only ever buy my clothes from the second hand store and mainly on .99 cent saturday so I buy a bunch, but sure enough I grow out of them too fast, is it out of them if they are too loose? lol. I think you are doing fantastic. You are right your body will work it all out. Have a great time at your wedding. And congrats on 182!!! That is AMAZING!!! You should be very proud!

wintersmith - He knows what I'm aiming for ... he thinks 185 is good and still worries that 175 will be "too skinny." I haven't told him yet I am 182 ... figured I'll just see where I settle and surprise him. I think 175 will be fine and once he sees it and gets used to it he'll calm down. LOL!! He just isn't used to seeing the "thinner" me!! Besides, I love food too much ... not really any chance at all I'll become some obsessed, anorexic like woman ... I enjoy eating too much!! I'm just watching what I eat most days ... and being more conscious of when I "splurge." As far as your closet trick ... I've actually gotten too "small" for my smallest clothes!! Unbelievable!! I have never, in my conscious memory worn a pair of size 12 pants ... I can now ... never have my 16's been too big ... ooops!!! Yogamama I wish I could do the thrift store thing for pants but I'm so tall that I usually need a tall size for long pants ... not many of those at the thrift stores unfortunately!! My tops still work, some are looser than they used to be but that's different than baggy pants!! Mo ... I will buy some ... I can't resist!!!!

Loved your journal and all the replies too! Very inspiring. Can't wait to drop down a size. One pair of jeans that were getting too tight in the waist are comfortable now - great feeling!

becomingwhoiam ... you'll get there!!! One lb at a time. Getting started is always a challenge I've found. But, once you get rolling you'll develop new routines and feel that motivation as your clothes start to loosen and you begin to feel the difference as you move around in your day-to-day life!! I can't wait to watch your progress and hear all about your new discoveries!!
