Went to bed at 2am yesterday and luckily I did not have to be at work until 9am. I was just feeling hyper and have been feeling this way for a week or so. I am surprised that with less sleep I am feeling pretty good. I ate well, exercised, had a good day of teaching (luckily not so many classes) and actually decided to hold off from eating the very yummy piece of chocolate raspberry cheese cake until tomorrow. Luckily in Japan the size is about 2-3 times smaller. My colleague also commented today at how well I look and slim. For the first time in many years I am feeling almost slim and fit. I think the change has been that I have been keeping the weight off more consistently and when I catch myself going back to old habits I get back onto healthy ones more quickly. Also, keeping this food diary is so amazingly helpful and I now realize how easy it is to overeat without realizing it and I am much more aware of how many calories are in my bad choices. This is one reason I decided not to eat the cheese cake today and also why I am -698 net cal. I think that I might even be so bold as to set a new weight goal soon of 165-170, but want to hold off a bit until I see where my plateau is as it might take some more tweaking of my calorie intake if I want to go down lower and maybe some more exercise. Overall, a very good day and I can also say that of late my sense of humour has also come back which a very close friend commented today. My son has been going through a great deal of struggles and this has been causing much pain and worry. I am learning to cope better at least for now with his emotional pain and just doing what I can for him.
