My buddy brought back far too much junk food for me...Belgian chocolate, halva, chocolate brandy marzipan (9 in total in about 10min) and cheeses, Twix bars (7 small bars in about 7 min) etc. All foods that are extremely high in sugar, fat and calories and all my arch enemies. Of course, you can guess what happened. I went on a major binge this evening and ate almost 2800 calories and about 1700+ was from the sugar. Luckily I only consumed half the box of halva (150 g in about 5 min). I have been staying away from this kind of food and not bringing it home so when it gets delivered as a gift it is very hard to refuse. Well, it was a good lesson that I must keep these foods out of my house as I don't have the will power to say NO. I have been doing a pretty good job until this week with the move and all the sweets being given to me. Now it is time to get back on track before I continue with the binge. This is what generally happens I have a heavy binge, I feel bad about myself, the self critic takes over chastising myself for lacking control, and so on, and then as a way of pacifying myself I go on another binge, and the cycle continues. Well, not this time. I have a good feed on sweets. I enjoyed it, but I also realized that it made me feel very lethargic and bloated and unwell. Now, it is time to understand that this will happen once and a while and not to beat myself up and to get back on the wagon to good health and weight loss.
