No weigh-in today as I have reduced it to 3-4 times a week instead of everyday. This has certainly reduced my stress with the daily ups and downs of weight due to retaining water, etc. I find I feel more positive about my weight loss journey than getting upset with going up one day and down the next. This is a very frustrating process. The good thing is that overtime things keep going down, but at a very, very gradual pace despite the effort I am putting in. It is a much slower process than I want, but perhaps this is the reality and not my desires to shed the pounds so quickly and have my triathlon body back. LOL!

Today I go to some friends home for Christmas dinner. My buddy works at the hospital tomorrow so we are celebrating it today. They are both vegetarians so I know the food will be healthy. I will just have to watch my portions and also my cheese and wine consumption. That being said, it is also a day of celebration and I want to enjoy this time without worrying about calorie counting and weight gain. I will just try to be mindful of eating and also thankful that I have this great time with dear friends and also that I have the luxury of warmth, shelter and such amazing food. I am so lucky indeed to live between two fantastic countries-Japan and Canada.

Tomorrow a good buddy is arriving from Brazil. It will be nice to spend Christmas day with him. I might go for a local hike, visit the temple in the mountain and then head to the local onsen (hot spring).

I would like to wish everyone a very Happy Holiday Season, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I hope in 2015 we all reach our goals and are happy with who we are and our bodies.
