So a pound of fat is 3500 calories. A deficit of 500 will shed a pound a week. You can adjust it to how fast or how slow you want it to go. A tip, don’t go so low that you notice drop in your activity levels

I have lost 40 pounds and still losing. I have a lot of weight to lose. I figured out my calories by taking my goal weight and multiplying it by 12, which is my calorie goal.
158x12= 1896 (1900) calories. That way, I can maintain weight once I reach my goal.
Happy Losing.
