To my surprised my weight jumped 3.1 lbs and this was after fasting from Monday at 7pm to today at 2pm. Prior to jumping on the scale I had biked 30 minutes in the morning and also walked 1 hour in the mountains. Also for the past 2 weeks my calorie intake and exercise has been spot on and I have consumed about 1,500-1,800 and after exercise my net calories per day range from approx -500 to -1100.

It is frustrating that I started out at 180.4 on December 7 and with eating an extremely health diet and cutting back dramatically on sugar and sweets and have a daily negative net calorie days for the past 2 weeks I am now above my original weight. I have not cheated and really done everything spot on. I am hoping that at the end of the week my weight has gone down. Perhaps it is due to stress as I know cortisol can lead to putting on weight or perhaps it is water retention. Who knows? I guess I have to be patient and just keep on doing what I am doing, but to put on 3.1 lbs in less than 24 hours and keeping a very healthy diet and a moderate exercise regime is mind boggling.

Enough said. I will eat a healthy dinner, do some meditation before I eat and hope that things resolve themselves by the end of the week. To be honest I almost didn't want to record my weight today as putting it into my log made it a reality. I just wanted it to exist in my head, but not in the real world, but I am happy I recorded it as this is the up and down world of losing weight. It also shows that you can do everything right and still have a very bad day with the scale. Very frustrating but it is reality. As they say, reality can suck sometimes.
