Simplee Starting Now's Journal, 28 October 2014

Well, I seem to be kind of stuck at 165...maybe 164. I'm exercising very faithfully...some days I do a lot but even if I d on't feel like it, I do SOMETHING. I have not been on the elip. lately but I have ridden my bike every day. I tried to donate blood yesterday and was deferred because my iron level wasn't high enough. The nurse said I wasn't anemic (my Mom IS) but that I "didn't have enough to give away." So I'm curious what some of you on here know about iron levels. Also, what are some good iron-rich foods and/or recipes to try to up my iron levels. The nurse gave me some ideas but I'd like more. Thanks.

I actually take a multi vitamin for women with iron, I don't eat much meat which can mean lower iron and B levels.

I have seen friends and family do really well with Floradix (iron and herbs to easily assimilate iron) also blackstrap molassas is high in iron. The key is for the iron to be assimilated.
