I, as well. just started Saturday. 4 days in today. I do not own a scale but weighed in at Dr appt. not happy at all with what I saw. 201 and heaviest I have ever been my whole life. Decided I had to do something new. Alot of stress and sadness this yr has contributed much to my weight gain (per my bereavement counselor). Every 2 to 3 months since January 1st it has been someone I dearly love and care about being called home. It is said God only gives you what He feels you can handle. Well, He must really think I am an Ox and super strong. Don't want to bore y'all with all the details. i apologize. I found this app because I decided to try calorie counting. I also added a step counting app. 1st day Wow!! that was rough since I do not really know what counting calories is all about. Needless to say, I went 512 calories over what this app put me on. Lol. oopsy. the last 3 days have been much better but now coming below the 1,500 calorie daily goal. Any pointer's, suggestions, comments to help me learn how to do this correctly would be appreciated. Congratz to you and everyone else on their personal journey to better health.

sorry for your loss. I kind of can relate to what your saying. I have been steadily gaining weight since my child was diagnosed with bone cancer. Thru all her Hospitalizations, appts, staying home to keep her safe due to low immune system - I packed on 20 lbs! I cannot fit into but 1 of my like 15 pairs of jeans. found my winter coat don't fit. I have never been this fat. I had just lost 20 lbs in 2020 not trying just stress.i guess. Now I can't lose a single pound. I decided to start tracking to force myself to see what I'm trying to stuff into my wardrobe. My first day, I am surprised at how many carbs! idk much about these diets I am trying low carb for fast results then try to maintain as I know once you start carbs again you gain it back. good luck on your journey, emotional and physical.

I told myself this is something that I DO have control over. That idea was life changing for me.
