Woke up this morning feeling like someone beat me up and then inflated me with gas. Ughhhhh.

I suspect it was the smoked paprika I put on the kale chips I made on Sunday, and ate both yesterday and Sunday. Paprika comes from peppers which are nightshades. I had read that people who are sensitive to nightshades often have trouble with paprika, but I was playing ostrich about that. Not me. Nope. I'm okay.

Not. Damn those kale chips tasted great with that paprika.

Oh well. Time to learn a bit more about this whole syndrome of nightshade sensitivity. Nothing is worth feeling this crappy. The other possible suspect is my vegan protein shake. It has quinoa powder in it, and I had quinoa on Sunday with my chicken curry. I think I need to stop using that powder for a few weeks, and then try it again, and of course eliminate the quinoa for a few weeks as well.

Eating is feeling like walking a field of land mines. You never know what is going to trigger a reaction. But, once I identify these problem foods, I am hopeful that eliminating them will further aid my weight loss. Plus, I will just feel better. Worth the struggle.
