I completely understand. My toddler just came off an ear infection, ran high fever 3 days. No time to workout b/c he was very clingy. Now just haven't picked back up steam where I left off. Easter weekend came, etc. This week...exercise is in my future.

Give yourself a break! You're taking care of another human who is 100% dependent on you. Not easy! I know exactly how hard it is to prepare healthy food when you are exhausted from taking care of a baby who isn't sleeping. When my son was 5 mos old and waking up every hour (!!) all night long I'd be too tired to eat till around 1pm at which point I was so starving I'd eat 2 candy bars or a turkey sandwich from a deli with chips on the side. Which is why I'm just now starting to finally lose this baby weight. Go to bed early for a few nights. I read an article recently in some mag. A few women lost an average of 7 lbs over I think 2 mos just by adding hours to sleep! Sleep deprivation makes us hungry, keeps us from making good choices, and makes us too tired to shop for and cook healthy food. Forgive yourself and move on from here!

I ditto Beets comment. Being a mom is the hardest job in the world. When my son was 2 he had seizures and was in hospital. It was one of the worst times of my life and I barely ate or slept and when I did it was not healthy eating. I did learn that in stressful times its important to try and make good choices so you have the energy. Hang in there and I hope your wee one is better soon.
