Oatmeal really helped me my husband and I were able to lower our cholesterol through diet and exercise. Best wishes!

it took me 6months of no cheating on my wfpb oil free diet but I got my cholesterol to the healthy range. I love following folks like Dr McDougall (the starch solution) and Dr esselstyn (engine 2 diet) for inspiration. good luck! if you are new to the diet and would like some tips/tricks/recipes feel free to reach out. I love the lifestyle!

At 2012 i had to take statins. In just two months, tests show that i had rhabdomyolisis. Doc had another patient who got sick from that and was suspicious about it so i had the tests. And he said he gave me the lightest of those.

I knew someone with high cholesterol and her doctor took her off all fats. Her cholesterol continued to climb! Your body needs cholesterol and will create it if it doesn't get it from your diet. Do yourself a favor and educate yourself regarding cholesterol. Most doctors are not up to speed with the latest on the topic. Even the AHA is expressing less concern about it. A quick resource on YouTube is a video by Dr Ken Berry "Is cholesterol good or bad for you?" Be sure to listen to all 11 minutes - there is information to calculate your heart attack risk on the AHA site.

Even better, watch Dr. Sten Ekberg "Your doctor is wrong about cholesterol."
