what diets/ meal plans are everyone using? I'm curious to see if one thing is more widely used here because it sure seems like a lot of people are doing well. I haven't been at it tremendously long...but it sure seems like to me I should have lost one by now.

I’m doing Keto (though I look at it more like a big carb cut) and intermittent fasting. Since I start IF the weight has just been falling off!

I started with Mediterranean and went from 259 to 217. I got lax and gained most back during quarantine. I'm back on the plan with secondary focus on lowering sodium.

We are doing a modified equilibrium diet, meat proteins and vegetables in the morning and lunch. Fruits and carbs in the evening.

I am trying to stay at 1350 calories a day. went off the deep end this week and ended up gaining 2.1 pounds. I am so mad at myself. But I am back at it this week. I would like to lose what I gained. probably eat more raw veggies this week.

My husband and I are doing g low calorie. With that we are using better foods like wellness tortillas, veggies, sugar free jello for snacks at work. I try to stay at 1200 calories a day. Work out 3-4 time a week. 2 month in and I am down 11lbs. My goal was to lose 15. Once I hit my goal I’ll work on eating the calories to maintain my weight. We have the occasional braut or hamburger. We also have a steak 2-3 time a week. We are red meat eaters. Lol.

Went vegetarian after gallbladder surgery in December. Decided to drop meat and dairy because of the fat content. Was only supposed to for a couple of weeks while I was healing, but I kept it going. Six months later and 26 pounds down, it’s become a way of life. Almost vegan but I eat eggs from our home chickens and occasional fish 🎣.

Hi! I did hard core full on Keto to lose all my weight. It worked for me because eliminating carbs forced my calories way down, and also forced to eat cleaner. it also 100% cured my IBS. So, I have stayed low carb for the digestive benefit. everyone is different m, but this worked for me. I used Ketone urine test strip daily to gauge my ketone, and ensure I was in ketosis. Now, I balance low carb hi protein on on workout days, and hi carb (clean carbs like fruit, grits, etc) on my work out days. seems to be working good for me.

CICO works for me...cut out whites, processed and eat whole foods. I didn't even get hungry on a 1200 calorie diet in January. Better choices and a little exercise and walking. Maintaining now after losing 40 in 16 months.

I'm transitioning to a vegan diet (it's very hard to stop eating cheese), and I'm trying to focus on eating mostly whole foods. Whole foods meaning less processed meals that you can take out of the freezer and heat up. I'm also cutting out sweets and any drinks other than water or tea. I still have days where I eat way too much bread, but it's all about small moves. It seems like a lot of people have found luck with keto, and I believe it's something you have to clear with your doctor. Best of luck, and we're all here to help!

I have a 1400 calorie budget that I work within. I can eat anything that I want, as long as I get 60g of protein and 30g of fiber daily, and as long as I don't eat anything after 7:30pm. I weigh everything on my food scale to ensure that I'm tracking things accurately. =) I'm preparing to sit my specialty boards certification exam in August, so my diet is geared towards foods that are good for brain health, at the moment - lots of salmon, broccoli, walnuts, blueberries, and leafy green veg; sweetened matcha green tea and 70% cocoa dark chocolate in moderation. =) I love beer, but am avoiding it until after my boards exam - otherwise I budget calories for a beer each day, too. I walk several miles a day with my dogs but I don't factor those calories in at all - I just know they're being banked as a deficit but I don't track them so as not to tempt myself to eat beyond my budget. =)

I’m trying different things. Low carb worked well, but is not sustainable long term. CICO seems to be the way to go for longevity. Either way, whole foods are the way to go. I don’t do artificial sweetener or coffee creamer.

I set my profile to lose weight slowly, set my activity level to low moderate, and chopped an additional 200 calories off the app’s daily suggestion. My diet is CICO and I eat clean, cook 99% of my meals at home. No gluten, dairy, refined sugar, low fat- because that’s what feels best. Protein powder and chicken make hitting macros a breeze. I prefer 30% protein and 45% carbs for my activity level and to curb cravings. I workout hard 6 days a week (lifting, running, spin and pilates), and also go for a walk 3-5x per week to make up for WHF lifestyle. I make sure to get 100oz fresh non-carbonated water per day, and sleep 8-9hrs per night. My favorite bedtime treat is chamomile tea with xylitol and almond milk. I’ve been losing 0.5-1lb per week and that’s my sweet spot. I only had 5-10lbs to melt, and I’m only 1.2lb away from my goal. You’ll get there too, and learn a lot along the way! Best of luck 🌿

Forgot to mention the biggest piece of the puzzle- a food scale. Weigh EVERYTHING and crosscheck foods you’re inputting 😃

I started out with LCHF and 1200 calories. Lost over 100 lbs that way. Have transitioned into CICO 1200-1300 calories. I'm at goal now and am planning on continuing to track, weigh/measure my food. However I eat, I still need to watch calories as I am able to overeat using any WOE.

Figure out what is your Achilles hill. I would make small adjustments in my diet each week to see how it affected my weight. I had all the bad habits. Too much of the wrong foods at the wrong time. Cutting out eating late lead to weight loss. The whites are my favorite food, but cutting them out started my weight loss at a gradual rate and when I cut out the sweets also gives me a quick drop in weight.
