Tuesday. You gotta love the fluctuations!! They keep life interesting. I just knew it when I stepped on the scale this morning ... it would be "up" and it was. No. It wasn't the power of positive thinking!! I like that I'm not recording every fluctuation. It will be interesting to see how long it will be before I dip below my 193.8 I was able to record yesterday. Took 15 days to get from 194.8 to 193.8 ... fatsecret tells me at that rate it will take me 3 months to lose 5 lbs!!! Oh joy!! Fortunately I don't give too much credence to the fat secret calculator.

I had a very busy day at work yesterday, even though I only had ONE appointment!!! It is amazing how phone calls, emails, texts, consultations, and paperwork consume time so efficiently. Today I have several appointments ... traveling a bit of distance for one of them. I hope the weather is good for travel today.

I actually think the up fluct may be some kind of "bloat" ... my rings feel tighter today. I didn't sleep well last night. I have a sore muscle in my left shoulder. Perhaps those kettle bells did me in yesterday.

Today I did a 30 minute Pilates workout and 46 minutes on my elliptical.

Now it is time for me to shower, have breakfast, make lunch, and get ready for my day. In 32 days I will be heading to Cabo for two weeks of rest and relaxation. In exactly one month from today I'll be taking an exam to obtain my endorsement as an Infant Mental Health Mentor.

for the lengthening days!!! So nice to have more light again!!

What does an Infant Mental Health Mentor do? Sounds interesting. Pay no mind to the fluct up! As you noticed, something is making you bloaty. And I am with you on the longer days! More light is definitely needed.

It is an endorsement, like a license, that says I supposedly know what I am doing in the field of Infant Mental Health services. I work with families who have children, ages birth to 3 years old. Work with all sorts of challenges, from developmental delays, disabilities, behavior challenges, attachment issues, parents with challenges, and so on. I also provide reflective supervision to others who work in the field ... so the Mentor part I guess means I am old and am mentoring others!! LOL!!

Gotcha. Sounds challenging but potentially rewarding. Sometimes my son drives me nuts and I could see that with added stress (dire financial situations, lack of emotional/marital support) it would be really really hard to not just lose it. The other day I said, joking--but also freaked out by how frustrated I got, this is why people tie their kids up. I mean--my son is almost three and just laughs at me when I do the whole "time out" thing. It's hard business. Glad someone like you is out there to help.

Good morning. WOW I get happy just thinking about you spending 2 weeks in Cabo in 32 days.....so excited for , so needed after this long cold icy winter. Don't worry about the stinking scale. You are eating well your clothes are fitting better. Don't let the scale rob you of any joy!!

Yay the countdown to Cabo has begun!!! You me and Cathy all have sunny warm trips in the works to look forward to which makes this winter bearable!!! :)

So many buddies have a vacation planned - So exciting!!! I know I can't wait for mine, but I have to wait - its all the way in October! Your going to have such a good time - just relax, no responcibilities... and hopefully your "old man" will follow que! Have a great day!!

Those fluctuations suck..you are doing all the right things so you know it will happen. I'm so glad you like those kettle bells. I love them. Don't they make you feel strong and powerful? Oh and look at all the work you are putting in pilates, eliptical...you are an exercising machine...even though you are so worried about those girls...lol I am still laughing about that.. Happy Tuesday Carol! Hope I catch you later too!!

Great attitude about fluctuations, true that on making life interesting. I decided to not stress about it last night. I do better when I am not worrying about it too much. Do you stretch after your workouts. Make sure too. Also in the morn when you get out of bed, its SO important! ugh, countdown to your vaca... :( I want to go.

Love your attitude to the scale. Glad you know its not the be all and end all of this journey and if your rings are tight, things will change soon. Kettle bells and jumping around - lol - so not for me either. This body don't jump! Have a good day Carol.
