Sunday: we processed 2 beeves and worked til 7:30 sunday night, exhausted. didn't even take time to eat, flopped into bed. going well, but I am exhausted. (posting this monday night)
Slept like a log last night, very tired from 9:30-9:30 this morning with only one wake up. We quit work last night about 7:30 I just couldn't stand up any more. Still had about 50 pounds of meat to process from the cow, but secured it and quit. Went to bed early.
This morning we ground the rest of the ground beef and cleaned up, the boys hauled off the waste for the coyotes (what we couldn't store for our dogs) we got about 130 pounds of scraps for the dogs, plus the bones and gave a few to the outside dog and sent some with the help for their dogs. The meat was absolutely BEAUTIFUL from both animals, and plenty fat, but we trimmed all the fat off we could see. Kept about 30 pounds of tenderloin and sirloin and a rump roast but ground the rest. I vacuum packed all of our meat. I like the way it packs air free.
Didn't take any lasix this morning (actually forgot it when I filled the medication cups) but seemed to do okay.l BP 126/68 and pulse 70 this evening. No edema I could see or feel though I am tired and was on my feet all day for 3 days in a row. Got all the knives, pans and so on cleaned and the grinder cleaned. Was very well pleased with how it went.
A nice feeling having the freezers full of meat.
