Need to get back on track. The holidays were impossible. At least I didn't gain as much weight as I had feared. The holidays are always so stressful. And I can't believe that we survived house guest for 3 weeks! We will never do that again. I think i finall found a soy-free protein shake mix. That will help me get this weight off. Also, it is supposed to get warmer. I want to start going for walks. I don't get any exercise right now, and that is really bad. I would have less stress, loose weight, and sleep better, if I get regular exercise.

no kidding ! just getting on track after 2 weeks of company - what were we thinking? We entertained so much, I have an aversion to cooking right now. on my new diet, breakfast and lunch meals are no cooking required- HB eggs, berries, almonds, salad, yogurt etc. Then dinner is a decent, portion controlled meal. I am thinking of joining Curves...it is a quick workout and may get me off my computer for awhile in the evenings.

Hard boiled eggs are a good idea. Maybe I can make some tonight. I know what you mean by being sick and tired of cooking. Same with me. Also, our house guests had to make an event out of every meal. I just want to eat my breakfast and get on with my day; not spend two hours making it and eating it. With a vertical sleeve gastrectomy (VSG) you can't have eating be the focus of your life and social events any more. So it really sucks having to sit around with house guest who insist on doing that. I am sooo glad that they are gone and not coming back!

Today is a new day, back to healthy living. The holidays were not good for my weight but wonderful for the soul. Tonight when I get home I'm making a mexican type soup, full of veggies and lean protein. I will take it to work for lunch to help keep me on track during the day.
