Fad diet is not really my thing. I just want to share this diet plan which is very famous in Taiwan.

The meal plan (in Chinese):

I tried this diet when I was not a vegetarian and when I was at my heaviest stage and when I hadn't discovered how working out is amazing 5 years ago. It kinda worked for me. I did not lose as much as it claims.

It claims to help losing 4kg for a cycle which you follow this 3-day meal plan and the rest of the week you eat healthily and you repeat it the following weeks. Consequently, you can lose 16kg in a month (please do not believe althought it sounds like a magic and there's a hope. be smart lol).

Well, I do not think fad diet is a magic pill. Eat healthily and working out plus a strong positive mind are the keys to success in diet. However, it takes a lot of effort and time to make it happen. I wonder why I jogged every day and I controled my eating habit so much but I couldn't see the result. I eventually gave up and I fell off the wagon. I realized I think about diet and me being fat more than anything else. It severely affects my life because I'm supposed to think about future/study etc. I didn't even like to record my diet calendar because it stressed me out so much. So, I gave up lol.

Now, looking into the mirror and struggling with the tight jean tell me that I gotta do something for myself but I do not know how and where to start it again. I feel weak. I feel unpretty. I feel very diffident. I'm thinking of this fad diet plan might give me a clue. I'm doing it this coming Sunday. And of course, I won't follow it blindly. Good luck to me. :)

That is a strange diet. Very restricted. I know how it is to think of how you look every moment. I think it is very common with us women... :( Instead of focusing on how you look, maybe try changing the focus to how you feel, whether you feel like you are nourishing your body, your energy. The scale is not always the best way to measure our success.

I've done this diet, and it does work (I averaged around 7 lbs/week when I did it). The version I saw was American (http://www.3daysdiet.com/ is the one, and also helps if you want to substitute foods) and said it was used to help patients lose weight before major surgery. I doubt it, but it sounded good. However... this diet is brutal. You're starving all day and really, who wants to eat half a cup of tuna straight?!? I felt weak and angry while doing this diet, then after, on the 4 "free" days, I would go nuts. I think it's a good way to jumpstart a weight loss plan, but it is definitely not sustainable. All the best to you- I know exactly how you feel, and I know that the process of losing weight sucks. But stay positive, you can do it :)

@ Starladesiree: Thanks for your kind words :)Yep, it's really restricted. I googled the review of this diet plan and some said it worked on them and some said not. I guess we can't follow the diet blindly. It'd better to modify it adequately to suit our body. @ Vestaal: Thanks for sharing your experience. I agree with you that it's not a sustainable way to lose weight. Hopefully, it would be a way to help me kick start my healthy life. :)
