Today is week 8 of MY Ultimate Jump Start Challenge. It"s focus is on getting obstacles out of my way WHEN they arise to keep me looking good, as when weeds are pulled to keep a garden looking pretty!
Yesterday was weigh in & my # stayed the same as last weigh in but that didnt bother me since I know muscle weighs more than fat & that all week I have been tugging at my jeans to keep them on...TRANSLATION- things are changing even if the scale doesnt show it. Thats why now I will be measuring myself every other week...to get a more accurate view of my progress.
I really enjoyed learning how a metabolism works & comparing the process to the management of a hotel where my role is Health Inspector :) the idea passes thru my mind as a scene Im very familiar with...as I look for a hotel to stay in I always consider its appearance. If it isnt taken care of according to my liking I dont stay there,I just keep looking for one that reaches my standards. The reason I like the use of this illustration is because it actually frees my mind from thinking on things that I dont need to be focusing on(my bodys appearance).Just as when I pass by a hotel I can tell at a glance if have a desire or no desire at all to stay there, I will know I as Health Inspector of my "hotel" just by looking when I have removed the excess of "guests" from on cite. (It will be pleasing in appearance because of keeping to the standards I have set for myself!
Now with THAT off my mind I can focus on my efforts Knowing that the desired results will automatically follow.
On to the efforts of PRO-WEEDING!

That was a pretty neat analogy on the metabolism. I suffer from hypothyroidism so weight loss for years has been a struggle. It's amazing the ways we can manipulate our metabolism through nutrition and exercise. Thank you for passing such positive vibes on a Monday morning! :)
