Paige E's Journal, 11 November 2008

My sister and I talked tonight and we are going to make up our own plan for the next few weeks since we are having so many events going on.

So, we are going to try to get back into ketosis for the next week and a half. We are going for less than 30 carbs and sticking with mostly the Induction foods, with the exception of some of the squashes and low-carb tortillas.

Next Saturday we are having some of our cousins over for some pie and cookie baking, so there will be some indulgences and we want to feel good going into that weekend. And then, on the following Monday, we'll get back on track for a few days so we don't feel bloated and gross for Thanksgiving.

I think I can lose another 5lbs if I do this. I have been working my butt off...so I know I'm getting somewhat of a workout in. Tomorrow I will be back to weighing in every day. I haven't weighed in for a few days - just because I keep forgetting and then I realize it late in the day. And I'm a stickler for weighing in at the same time every day.

I know this is a challenging time. But I'm hoping that if we sit down and talk about the things to come, we can still manage a few indulgences without feeling like crap for the next 6 weeks. And, perhaps I can lose that next 10lbs before Christmas.

I have high hopes.

I have also been more aware lately of my need to feed when I'm not hungry - and the emotions that I'm trying to apease with food. And, for me, it is usually frustration. Interesting. And lately, there has been a little less of that floating around.

Those low carb tortillas are life savers, aren't they! Good planning for the upcoming weeks. You and your sister can keep each other in line! Love your phrase - "Need to Feed" hee hee Are you sure you want to weigh in every day? If I do that it totally frustrates me. The ups and downs play havoc with my mind. Maybe you could weigh in every 2 or 3 days or even go for once a week. Just a suggestion. :) YOU CAN DO IT! GO FOR THAT 10 LB. LOSS BY CHRISTMAS!!! :O)

Good job on planning ahead and realizing what your trigger times are. Hopefully, eating well will even curb your indulgences a little, ya know? Good luck in doing so and reaching your goal by xmas.
