been slacking but I am back and more focused....needing some motivation from people going through this same thing...
199.0 lb Lost so far: 15.0 lb.    Still to go: 29.0 lb.    Diet followed poorly.

Finding motivation is easy, finding sticking power is what's difficult for me. If I don't log in & record my foods everyday I always falter. Having friends who are active on this site is also super helpful.

thanks Adrienne I really need some accountability through people on here..and by logging my progress (or lack thereof) I keep a food journal and it is helping alot and I find if I know i have to write it down I avoid eating it :-)

I have the same experience with logging food. I love candy & have a really hard time avoiding the candy dish here at work, so what I do is allow myself a certain serving each day & log that in in the morning. Right now it's 3 Musketeers Minis. 1 serving of them is 7 pieces so I log my 7 pieces & that's what I allow myself for the day. Some days I eat all 7 & some days I don't, but I never eat more because this is what I have set aside as acceptable. I don't deprive myself but rather set reasonable limits. So far it's working quite well. Since I have a limit I don't mindlessly grab a candy every time I walk past the candy dish.
