B4real's Journal, 18 July 2013

Alright...never did this before so here goes; two weeks ago, I reached the 200lb...203lbs, to be exact, a breaking point for me. I'm 5' 7", so I'm not a tall guy and I knew after being out of the military for almost four years, this was ridiculous!

While in the Navy, my weight was around 175lbs, which was still considered at the upper scale of my BMI index, but I exercised and jogged 3-5 times a week. Now, I basically sit all day at work, eating bad food (which I love to eat), and later in the evening visiting my local bar, smoking cigarettes, playing darts, and drinking beer, bourbon and coke, and Long Island Ice Tea's, about 3 times a week. In other words, I knew I needed to do something quick.

With much hesitation, I am starting the hcg diet because I've seen drastic changes in a couple of my coworkers that have done it, yet without maintaining their desired weight. I hope to not be like them. So my plan is to get rid of the fat quick: after that, target lean muscle mass by working out and eating right. Also, I added with this "diet," the challenge to myself to quit smoking and drinking and just live a healthier life. Good luck to everyone, and I wish us much success in our endeavors to improve ourselves!
