Char Gets Thin's Journal, 17 July 2013

Last week while grocery shopping, I stubbed my little toe on the cart. A DEFINITE ouchie! That night, I again stubbed it on the foot of the footstool. *Deep sigh* Ever notice that once you've hurt a body part you continue to tweak that same body part? Well, over the past few days, I've been stubbing it on chairs, tables, shoes (Ok, so I left my walking shoes in the middle of the floor, my bad! lol )...but then for two days I was good, and no more ouchies.

UNTIL LATE YESTERDAY AFTERNOON!I was mowing the front lawn, and I still don't know how I did it, but I did. I was wearing leather shoes, but ones that are open in slits down the sides, almost like a sandel, but not quite. ANYway, as I got to the front garden, I went to turn the mower...and I smacked that poor little toe into the concrete edging hard enough that it broke my toe nail, scrapped up the toe itself, and turned my nail dark blue! OUCHIE!!!

So now I'm all bummed. Oh, I can walk around, and I'll probably finish mowing the lawn today (had to stop yesterday, it hurt THAT bad!)...but I could only get 1 1/2 miles in today, and that's just not gonna cut it for me, I usually get 4 1/2-5 1/2 miles in every morning. And it's barking badly enough right now that I might not be able to mow the rest of the front yard, which is gonna look like CHIT only 1/2 done! lol

And to add insult to injury? I only ate 25 PPVS yesterday, and was almost 400 calories shy of my RDI. So what happens today? I'm UP .6 pounds! It has to be water, I must be retaining fluids...but brother, it truly has me peeved!

So I seriously hope everyone else is having a WAY better day than it seems I'll be having today! Stay OP, drink that water and get those APs! We can DO this! :)

Oh so sorry you hurt yourself. Try to do other movements, like sit ups, or arm stretches, something you dont need your foot, so that you can feel better about the other exercises you are not doing. :)

oh my! I know how that is. Hurt one part and it keeps on getting in the way to get hurt again! Sorry about that! Then it seems like things snowball, but you still have a super positive attitude. I left a comment on my journal in reply to your comment. Not sure if you see that unless you go there. But anyway, thanks for your comment and I'm keeping a close eye on things! Been there done that! :-)
