3.3 miles logged in again; 1.8 with dogs, the rest just by my lonesome.
Anyone ever notice how if you do your usual route backwards, it just feels really, really odd? I guess I like my "rut" too much! I add or subtract loops based on the dogs (avoidance of problem dogs, where the shade is, etc.) but the direction I walk each loop tends to be the same. When I change it, it just feels so strange.
I still need to drop 2 pounds (by Sunday) to be on track for the Christmas Challenge. It's not looking too promising, but I'll keep plugging along. I haven't been able to drop 1.5 pounds per week, but I've been losing at slightly over a pound a week. There may have been some improvement there during the Challenge, but not a huge amount. I probably won't make the 30 pounds by Christmas, but I should be ahead of my previously set-up "markers": 190 by Halloween (halfway to goal), 180 by the end of the year, and 175 by the end of January 2011 (175 is 2/3rds of the way to goal).
Being on this site has been a huge help, as I can't remember another time when I've been consistently losing for 6 months. Just knowing there are others out there struggling with the same issues, who can talk about them, is a big, big help.
