Back from my trip! It was great, but I definitely brought back a lot of extra weight with me... I will try the scale in the morning. It will be at least 3 kg up, even with a full night's rest, but that is not so bad, considering all the amazing and calorie filled foods on which I feasted in the states!
I found it hard to turn food down because of the added "but I can only get this here!" component, and the emotional happiness of having familiar comfort foods. So I can't be too hard on myself - I did try to limit. Just not very strictly. I turned down dinner rolls but happily munched on the peanut butter cups, for example.
Being part of 2 weddings in a single week meant lots of eating out, cake, alcohol and gatherings, so this could have been much worse.
I will evaluate the damage officially tomorrow, record it and reign my diet back in this week.
Yay - I am happy to have internet again and be back on the site!
