Well, I'm probably the last person to journal for the morning -- oh, that's right! Everybody else seems to live EAST of me!!! Ah well. I love my desert. (That's not dessert, it's DESERT!) (I could feel everybody getting excited all at once!) My young friend came again last night and completed removing the sod, so I won't be tempted to go back out and hurt myself . . . until we decide about putting in pavers or pea gravel or what! Then I'm sure I'll be out digging or raking or something once again. Now, if the darned dog will just STOP SCRATCHING.
I made some crock pot chicken yesterday, with green chilis and a "warmer" red pepper chopped into it, then after cooking I added green enchilada sauce and cream cheese to top it off. It was ok but not great, and hubby said the breast meat was dry. Dang. It WAS low carb, though, so that was good . . . but I probably won't do it again so NO RECIPE!! I think I should have gone boneless and chopped, but I wasn't sure how hot it would turn out! Try, try again.
I'm inspired by all of you in so many little ways this morning. I don't think I can flip back to all your journals without losing mine, so off the top of my head . . . there was so much about the human condition: letting go of near-adult children, planning for a wedding, illness and concern for elder family members, battling our own inclination to self destruct in so many obvious and not so obvious ways, tuna and egg for lunch (sounds good!), struggling for self-identification even within one's own marriage, the intense effect of stair stepping, and don't forget discovery of the price of chicken wings at the Dublin airport!! You're all amazing, loving, intelligent, funny people and I'm humbled to be able to talk with you!
Have a skinny day -- hey, Dave's day must nearly be over by now!!
