Getting ready for a big weekend at the pool. It is indoor but has a two story slide and so much more. The hotel Dad booked even has a fitness center, a fridge and microwave. So I am taking my blender for my protein shakes and my food that I have already precooked and measured. I am so excited!!!! Swimming is one of my all time favorite things to do. So hopefully with all my pre-planning I will have killed this weekend! Well I am getting ready to make some apple cinnamon protein bars for my breakfast. Also random thought is has anyone ever heard the rule i before e except after c? So not true and it bugs me all the time my example word is this (protein) so explain to me now how this works? More exceptions include seize, weird, vein, foreign, eider, their, feisty. This really bothers me for some reason. Why make up a rule that doesn't always apply?

Hmm protein is one I never noticed, but that bugs me too. I saw a tshirt on pinterest that said "I before E except after C. Weird" haha. Enjoy your weekend, sounds like a blast! Your planning will do you well!

Sounds like you are all set for your big time in the sun! Well, indoors anyway! Yes I remember that spelling ryhme for elementary school. Never thought about those words until now. I'm ruined forever! LOL! What about the other rule: when two vowels go walking the first one does the talking???? Maybe it over-rules the i before e except after c..... :)

Yes, those words don't apply to the other half of the rhyme either "or when sounding like 'a' as in neighbor and weigh". Well, vein works, but not the others. Feisty goes against the "two vowels go walking" rhyme too--it breaks two rules! lol I love when we get a hotel that has a fridge. This is because I have taught myself, when I eat out (like date night), to immediately box up half my meal so I'm not tempted to eat it all there. Then I can take it back to the hotel and save it for the next day. Anyway, hope you have a great weekend!

You are such an excellent planner. All your hard work and effort will shine when you put on your bathing suit. :D Have an amazing time! And I have learned to never trust any English language rules, they seem to be broken/changed all the time. For example, never begin a sentence with a conjunction... :)
