oxdrover's Journal, 04 January 2013

I ruptured my Achilles tendon on Jan 13, 2012, and in August I had the entire tendon replaced with a donor tendon. Am only now getting back to regular exercise again. Not really been focusing on calorie control, but have stayed with my LOW SODIUM DIET and have developed my cooking with spices to where I even have pork sausage and bacon that is SODIUM FREE...so life is good again!

Still cooking for "scratch" for the most part, but have found some semi-boxed meals from Frontier Spices. Learning to cook sodium free has been a big challenge but one that now that I'm "into it" am enjoying.

BP normal--no meds
Blood sugar Normal--no meds
Edema in feet and legs---essentially gone, no meds on a regular basis, just once in a while a lasix

Feel much better as well.
