I'm so excited about the pound that I gained being gone. I was really mad at myself for cheating. Now here comes the next problem...Tomorrow my baby girl turns one. There will be cake. Cake is my weakness. Do I have a slice because she only turns one once, or do I not? I'm so torn. I got a REALLY small cake so there would not be any left over, so that will take care of temptation the next day.

I'm in that situation too! I'm baking my friend's cake for her birthday, and I've already promised myself not to lick fingers while doing so...however, what do I do at the party? Do I at least get to take a bite of my handiwork? Just think of the consequences of that piece of cake. Calculate the carbs, sugars, etc. Is it worth it to you to have that one teensy slice, and are you prepared to gain back some weight because of it? I myself will be having the tiniest of bites to appreciate the flavor. If you want to just taste it, take a bite, chew it, then spit it out! My dad did that all the time while he was on Atkins when my mom would bake yummy stuff.

Your babies are so beautiful! On a different note....Don't eat the cake. You can have sugar free cookies and low carb candy instead. You have lost so much weight, I would hate for you to get caught up in the sugar cravings all over again. Good Luck!

Don't eat the cake .... it will cause your body to crave sugar for days!! If anything, go buy some low carb ice cream and have a little of that. I mess up at times too but if you can help it .... don't do it. Your baby will never remember if you ate any of the first cake or not and you don't have to tell ... lol

lol, but cake is my FAVORITE sweet thing of all times. When their dad had a birthday in Aug. I took him out and made him get cake there so I would not have any OR have any left over at the house. Wish I could do that for her, but it is family tradition to let them eat their own cake so she will be a hot mess! Plus big brother has to eat cake too...
