Another 16/8 successful. My body fat is trimming down already. Clothes fit better, body feels better, and I’m happier and more energetic. I want to start doing resistance training but it’s not possible at the moment. I’m going to continue keeping my carbs lower than what they used to be, so that once my wife recovers from her surgery, I can go to the gym and get into ketosis.

Being mindful of not only the foods I put in my body, but the amount of fluids, is really doing me wonders. And cutting sugar has also done wonders. I haven’t had fast food in who knows how long and I’m proud of that. It’s getting interesting.

You could check the GoodWill, Salvation Army, etc for hand weights— nothing real heavy, just to use at home so you can get started slowly. Then you will be better prepared to hit the gym when you are able

I do have some eight pound weights that I used for shadow boxing when I was training for boxing again. I think it’s a good time to pull those out. Checking out some of those stores will be a great idea. So I’ll definitely have to check that out.

You’re doing so great! And I second what @kenna said about goodwill or thrift stores for exercise equipment, they always have tons of stuff for cheap!!

Here in SoCal we have several early morning exercise program geared to people with any kind of ability. Usually on PBS station. If you can record them, do so and watch/do when you can.

Look into chair exercises. I could barely walk a block with a cane when I started. My exercise regimen started with physical therapy. Find the things you CAN do and just do them. Remember that a 16 oz bottle of water is 1 lb. Arm curls with a 1 lb weight doesn't sound like much, but it's SOMETHING to start with. You'll get to those 8 lb weights before you know it!
