It's eye opening when you start tracking. You can do this and if you stumble along the way, just pick yourself up and start again. It has to be a new way of thinking, it's not dieting it's a change of eating habits.

We gotcha!! I’m still newish/ Joined in December I believe. This place has changed my life!! I just read posts and started following people who seemed to have it together ( and they aren’t all doing the same things) so explore it all😊 I have had success here thanks to doing a little of everything. I love eating fish, well all seafood. You wouldn’t even believe how much tastier veggie noodles are than pasta..... mind freaking blown. Big fan of zucchini noodles or zoodles and butternut squash noodles with salmon or shrimp, scallops or haddock, or whatever meat. I like paleo , Mediterranean and doing Keto days. CICO is calories in calories out. I typically watch daily but I just learned coming in below for the week is good. I just wanted to step up as a “ newbie” and say this is the only app that ever stuck with and held me accountable and there are some absolute MVPs here who have had it together for years that can show you it’s ok to treat yourself and make a lifestyle change.

Welcome. You have taken a great first step to a return to health. I joined FatSecret the very end of 2018. To date, I have lost about 20 pounds...that leaves me 74 more to go to reach my first goal 😊. By far, the most important part to my weight loss has been using the app to track everything I eat. You can do this!

Avoid eating out or using prepared meals until you get a grip on what is high carb and what isn't. Carbs are not evil but you must cut back. I enter what I plan to eat into FS then check the carbs, protien, and fat. If anything looks too high (or low) I delete and make adjustments. No one is perfect, so don't panic over a messed up day. It happens. Just start fresh the next day. Just get back on the wagon. We all fall off. And remember sometimes the evil scale doesn't show pounds lost but looser clothing and belt notches no longer needed don't lie.
