Doing this for the sake of science, day 2 of a fat fast. I don’t think this is a healthy way for weight loss. It’s a mixture of cream cheese and sour cream and a dash of vanilla in a 16 oz container. Food for the entire day.

I find water fasting too hard(it makes me hungry), I am doing dry fasting, 30+ hours, I am no longer doing the two days 500 calories fasting.

It's not too hard, I am soo hungry when I am drinking. This one is my second time going a whole day without food-water, it gets easier when I am asleep, last week after 30 hours I was not longer hungry or thirsty, I broke my fast at 38 hours because it was my plan.

I am doing it because I want the benefits of autophagy , my saggy skin is looking better. 😀

*save calories too .

I noticed when I went low sugar my skin looks smoother and more glowy after 3 weeks. Does fasting help the saggy skin get reabsorbed? I might need some of that

They claim that 😀 , you should research about autophagy and fasting.

Actually, dairy is supposed to help with sagging skin.

Thanks for your encouragement when I need it chris!

Autophagy (literally, "self-consuming") kicks into high gear after fasting at least 16 hours, but you have to fast from *all* calorie intake. Break the (intermittent) fast with fat plus moderate protein and low net carbs .

Thanks miraculum! I love how you know the science behind it!

Ken Berry, M.D., estimates that consistently fasting to trigger autophagy will tighten the skin, but at the rate of only 1% of excess skin per month. Pretty slow, but at least it's something. For someone who was massively obese, the amount of loose and sagging abdominal, leg, back, and arm skin tissue may necessitate surgical skin removal to make a significant difference.

Hmm... I wonder what it can do for me, once obese now normal weight.... I might do once a week fasting and see how that goes. I don’t like being hangry though :(

I’m going to do this for the next 4 Sundays. Will take before/after photos.

@moopie321, autophagy will result in skin loss and tightening at the rate of 1% a month, as I said, but that result assumes *daily and ongoing* fasting for at least 16 hours (18 is even better) in every 24-hour period ("intermittent fasting"). If you only fast once a week, you'll may realize/maintain weight loss, but it won't trigger *skin-tightening* autophagy.

I think that is a slow progress, I am thinking that my belly will look a little bit better by next year lol. 🙏
